Being constantly traveling from country to country and city to city, having service worldwide is a requirement. When I just started to travel the world, I had AT&T as my phone service provider and it was a pain to not being able to have service anywhere but the US. The constant search for wi-fi in restaurants, malls, hotels etc. was a challenge. First, I had to "pray" for wi-fi and then hope that it would successfully connect.
When I changed to T-Mobile, my life changed as well. T-Mobile's unlimited world-wide data is the best thing that's ever happened to me! No more searching for Wi-fi, no more headaches.
According to an article written by MacRumors, T-Mobile expanded its Simple Global coverage to an additional 20 countries. Now covering all Europe and South America! The Simple Global coverage is now available in 145 total of countries worldwide, covering more than 90% of the areas that Americans travel abroad each year.
How's the connection?
As soon as you land, you will receive a message saying something like: "Welcome to Bahamas! You T-Mobile plan gives you unlimited data at 2G speeds, calls at 20 cents/min and free texts."
It's not fast, but important communication apps such as Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger work perfectly. The navigation is slower when using other apps such as Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook etc. due to the great amount of data needed to load the media.
Stay connected 24/7 with T-Mobile!
One of my favorite things about this is my access to my work e-mail 24/7 when traveling abroad. You can receive and send e-mails at any time! But, if you receive an e-mail with an attachment it may be very challenging to open.
As a solo traveler, I like to stay in touch with my family and friends to let them know that I am OK and alive lol Also, knowing that I can easily reach out to my family in case of an emergency makes me feel very safe.
For only $100 for two lines, you can join T-Mobile's unlimited data world-wide package in no time. Head over to your nearest T-Mobile store and sign up!
No need to unblock your phone!
If you have this service, there's no need to unblock your mobile device. Unless you want to insert a foreign SIM card, you are good to go! It doesn't get easier than this.
Hope this reviews convinces you to change to T-Mobile! haha
Until next trip,
