A glimpse of Budapest!

“Dear Mariella: We are writing to you to let you know that the tour you booked with us is now canceled. Would you like to book a day-trip to Budapest instead?” Hell yeah! My day trip to Budapest was amazing even though I got to spend only a few hours in this city. The beauty of Europe is that you can take a bus, train or even drive to another city within hours of each other. In this case, I got to explore Budapest after a short 3-hr drive from Vienna. As soon as we arrived, the tour guide started explaining Budapest history as we drove by the landmarks. We got dropped off right in the heart of the city! It Feels Good To Travel Again!

A couple of months ago, all my travel plans were put on pause when I found out my foot was broken. I was very upset I couldn’t continue with my itinerary, but If I wanted to keep traveling the world I needed to rest and recover from my injury. When it happened, I said to myself that nothing was going to stop me from continuing my journey. God, I was wrong.  Two weeks after my accident, I traveled to Barcelona with a cast. I thought it was going to be the same! After all, I only had an orthopedic boot that I could easily remove whenever I wanted. Even though I did all the activities I wanted to do in that trip, I cannot explain how tired and uncomfortable I was at the end of the day. During the day, I just wanted the day to be over so I can head over to the hotel and rest my foot. But hey, lesson learned. After this experience, It was clear to me that I needed …
