No Filter Needed for Varadero, Cuba

The ocean is so blue that it looks like the entire beach is photoshopped into real life. In other words: paradise found.

Varadero is a tourist destination. Countless luxurious five-stars beachfront hotels to choose from! Most of them offer an all-inclusive package for guests not to worry about anything during their vacation time. Choosing the right hotel is key to enhance your experience during your stay!

When a hotel greets you with a glass of champagne, you know your experience is going to be a great one. I stayed in the Melia Varadero Hotel, a five-star hotel with beautiful amenities and various entertainment activities throughout the day. (For example, the night I stayed there was a Cuba Night show in the pool area and a cuban pig roast in the afternoon.)

  • Plan ahead and book a transfer from Havana to Varadero prior to your visit to Cuba. Also, make sure you confirm with the driver the pick-up time and location the day before and the day of the trip.
  • Bring plenty of sunscreen!
  • Try to stick to Cuban food throughout your whole stay. Usually these hotels offer everything from hamburgers to pizzas, but they are usually not good. Besides, what’s better than Cuban food anyways?

You know what they say, a picture can say a thousand words... So here’s my Varadero experience in 10 epic pictures:
